Protein-Packed Chocolate Ice Cream!
First, I would like to point out that I am very aware that traditional Paleo followers do NOT eat peanuts or peanut products, but I do. So here you go!
You Will Need:
A food processor
3-4 Frozen (ripe) bananas
You Will Need:
A food processor
3-4 Frozen (ripe) bananas
1/2 cup Liquid egg whites (I use the Great Value brand... because I'm cheap)
1/4 cup coconut or almond milk (coconut milk is creamier but almond milk adds protein)
1/2 cup Chocolate PB2
1/2 cup Chocolate PB2
2 tbs. Cocoa Powder
1 tsp. Honey
-and anything else you want to throw in there!
1 tsp. Honey
-and anything else you want to throw in there!
Step 1: The night before you make this, peel your bananas and freeze them. I like to break them up into several chunks for easier blending later.
Step 2: Throw all your ingredients in your food processor and mix 'em up! Easy as pie (or ice cream, whatever).
The end result will be a creamy, filling, energizing treat! Enjoy!
Bonus Tip:
I like to make big batches of ice cream and freeze it for breakfast on-the-go! I've found that it keeps really well in small mason jars! Experiment with your recipes! I've also added dark chocolate chips, almonds, mint, and different protein powders. Find a concoction that you LOVE and have a perfect, kid-friendly treat ready for hot summer days in the freezers at all times!
